How is it 5 months since I last posted here?! The months have flown by and now here we are into the 2nd half of 2023 and in the middle of summer.
Most of this year, I have been really struggling with a combination of the usual fibromyalgia stuff, with added Long Covid. Fatigue has been the major issue and so I have had to drastically cut back on how much I do and focus only on those activities that help me manage fibro – mainly swimming and qigong and also attendance at virtual Long Covid management courses.

My mental health took a hammering too as I was feeling like a shell of a person, too ill to be of any use to anyone, with depression rearing its ugly head and making me resist doing much to help myself too. In short, I’ve been a mess.
Fortunately, with the help of our NHS (National Health Service) a lovely GP and the Long Covid Community Team, I’m back up and running again, for now at least. Those of you living with any chronic illness will know that it takes ongoing effort just to keep our heads above water and try to live well – it’s never a done deal. But at least I now feel in a place where I can do what I need to do to keep myself as well as I possibly can…fingers crossed anyway…

I’m hoping to write a post about some of the Long Covid courses I have been on as I feel that I got a lot from them which will help not just with the effects of Covid, but also fibro, so might be helpful for others too.
Thanks for reading
